Let’s take you back to when it all started…

Spice Burst Journey.

Spice Burst was inspired by my mum, Lalita Mistry,  while I was at university. Mum is a fabulous cook and she would make up little pots of spices so that I could have the taste of home cooked indian food without having to prepare all the ingredients.  I simply had to Mix, Cook and Eat. 
When I lived away from home, I used to make up my own pots at the weekend. By doing so, I always had perfect pots of flavour for when I wanted to cook, whether it be after work, having people over for dinner or making a dish to take somewhere. The buying, peeling, chopping, and measuring was all done and I didn’t have to look around for that 1 ingredient that I needed but just didn’t happen to have to hand.

In 2014 I decided to develop these pots into something I could share with other people and created SPICE BURST.

I hand peel, chop, blend, mix and then cook all the ingredients at home to give you the perfect flavours. Nothing is wasted from your pot, as you can use as much or as little as you want and anything left in the pots can be used as flavour boosters for rice, pasta, quinoa, couscous…anything really. 

Using my experience in Indian cooking, recipes from mum and my passion for cooking, I have created recipes on here for you to experiment with and enjoy.
